Plastic Surgery
The title that we were given for this module was opposites, I came up with an idea about plastic surgery and how the opposite of beauty is ugly and I wanted to look into that people want to change their identity through plastic surgery to transform their facial features into something they want to look like. I have taken a numerous amount of photos and set up someone changing there face through plastic surgery. In the images, I have added makeup already on her skin to show what she looks like before she went through with plastic surgery this is creating a deeper meaning that she wants to change her features more of a fake way.
I then chose my favorite photo from the photo shoot and wanted to recreate it into a painting , I have had different ideas how to change the image when painting it, the ideas I had was to add in makeup brands in the background but then I thought they would be too much information to take in the image, I then thought I could make the face look like its ageing and she is trying to stop this by plastic surgery but I feel as the image is very strong just to have by itself so I decided just to change the background black to make all of the facial fetures stand out more and to make the colouring of the face to look bruised this is to show the consequences of plastic surgery.
