I wanted to research into a performance artist, this is because I want to create a video of a person dressed up as a lion for one of my projects. This is because I find it cruel when animals are locked up in cages. I want to find an artist who makes videos with animals in and to see how they make the video or see how they create their performance. 

Beuye is a performance artist who made videos with animals in, one of his videos from later years he was cradling a dead hare. This could suggest he likes to create sense and documentaries with animals in this could be to teach people what animals are really like. This comes from the video that Beyue made of himself locked in a room with a wild coyote. He created this over days, 8 hours each day to see if the coyote would react to him and to see how the animal is like out its natural habitat. A lot of people said this video that Beyue made is cruel and goes against animal rights I see this as well because he has taken the coyote and put it in a surrounding that it's not used to in a small entrapped area. 

He tried to make eye contact over the days while performing gestures he did this to see how the coyote reacted, he also wore a cloak like material and seen what the wild dog would do. In this video, he wants to see how the coyote would survive in a different surrounding and the dog's natural habitat.  

Beyue wants to let the animals speak, this suggests he wants to let the animal acknowledge humans. The feelings I have for this documentary is that he wants to see what happened to the animal if he can survive this could be how they take animals out of the wild to put in zoos for people to see so I think he is doing the same but is trying to make the wild dog feel more secure.
